Ed Sheeran to Play Shakedown
We are very pleased to announce that the hottest act in UK, Ed Sheeran, will be playing the main stage at Shakedown this September!
Despite only turning 20 this year, Ed Sheeran is more experienced than you'd think, having released two albums and two EPs already. Since winning the 2008 Next Big Thing competition in East Anglia, Ed has attracted a flurry of high profile gigs, interviews and coverage across Radio 1, BBC Introducing and more.
As well as topping the iTunes chart and debut single 'The A Team' charting at no.3 in its first week, Ed has also collaborated with Scorcher, Thomas Jules, Slix and Wretch 32, and worked with a variety of producers and song-writers, including Amy Wadge, Si Hulbert, Jake Gosling and Jack McManus. Not to mention grabbing the attention of drum and bass legend Goldie.
With his album out the week before the festival, we can expect a chorus of sing-a-long hits as Ed plays the main stage at Shakedown alongside Razorlight, Example, Freemasons and a selection of local bands, including the critically acclaimed Kovak, who have also been added to the bill today.
Check out the full line-up here.
